Felix Baumgartner: King of Adventurers

                            Introduction and Facts
Well, the votes are in, and Felix Baumgartner has won the People's Choice Adventurer of the Year. Felix, age 43, broke the sound barrier and a world record on October 14, 2012 when he sky dived from 24.2 miles above the surface of the earth. The atmosphere was very thin, so he had to wear what seemed like a space suit. He fell at nearly 800 MPH, and because he jumped from so high in the air, it took him a little over 10 minutes to fall until he reached the surface of the earth.

               About His Career
Felix is basically a world-famous skydiver know for his record breaking stunt pulled last year. In 1999, he claimed the world record for Highest Parachute Jump from a Building, when he jumped from the Petronas Towers in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

He also set the world record for Lowest BASE jumper ever, when he jumped 29 metres (95ft.) from the hand of the Christian Redeemer in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil. This also stirred controversy among other BASE jumpers pointing out that Felix cited the height of the statue as the height of the jump even though he landed on a slope just below the statue's feet.

He became the first person to BASE jump from Millau Viaduct in France on June 27, 2004, and the first person to skydive onto then jump off of The Turning Torso building in Malmo, Sweden on August 18, 2006. He also became the first ever person to jump from the 91st floor of the then-tallest building in the world on December 12, 2007.
